PRH Pledges $100,000 Gift to PEN America

Penguin Random House has pledged a one-time gift of $100,000 in honor of the 100th anniversary of PEN America, and has pledged an increase in its financial support over the next five years. The publisher's gift builds upon a longstanding partnership between the two organizations, including the joint 2020 nonpartisan initiative Book the Vote.

PEN America CEO Suzanne Nossel said the organization is "grateful and inspired that Penguin Random House is expanding its generous support for PEN America at this critical time," citing rising authoritarianism and challenges to free speech as urgent issues.
