NYU SPS to Merge Centers for Publishing, Applied Liberal Arts

The New York University School of Professional Studies will merge its Center for Publishing and Center for Applied Liberal Arts under one umbrella, the Center for Publishing and Applied Liberal Arts (PALA). Andrea Chambers, the academic director of NYU's M.S. in Publishing, has been promoted to associate dean of the new Center for Publishing and Applied Liberal Arts, effective September 1. She will continue to oversee the M.S. in Publishing degree and NYU's Summer Publishing Institute, but a search for a new academic director for those programs has commenced.
