Submissions for Reese’s Book Club’s LitUp Fellowship Open
LitUp, a writer’s fellowship program for unpublished and unrepresented women run by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine media company and its subsidiary, Reese’s Book Club, has opened for submissions for its second set of fellowships. Manuscripts will be accepted from March 31 to May 31. Fellows will be paired with Reese’s Book Club authors, who will mentor the fellows for three months as they develop their manuscripts. They will also receive an all-expenses-paid writer’s retreat and a first-look window with major literary agents.
“There are so many talented writers who have found it hard to access the onramps to publishing, but who have brilliant stories waiting to be told,” Witherspoon said in a statement. “We can’t wait to meet the next group of fellows.”
Operational partners for the fellowship include We Need Diverse Books and Madcap Retreats, and corporate partners include Google and Buick. Applications can be submitted at reesesbookclub.com/litup.
