Webtoon, DC Debut New Webcomics Series

Part of a creative partnership announced last year, Webtoon and DC unveiled a new slate of original digital comics set in the DC universe that will debut on Webtoon throughout 2022, among them, Vixen:NYC, Red Hood: Outlaws, and Zatanna & the Ripper.

The new online series follows the 2021 Webtoon launch of the popular Webtoon/DC collaboration, Batman: Wayne Family Adventures, a weekly manga-influenced slice-of-life story that casts Batman as a father-figure to a group of adopted super kids.

The forthcoming new series include: Vixen: NYC (May 26), written by Jasmine walls and artist Manou Azumi, is the story a Ghanaian American who returns from a family visit to Ghana to find that she’s gained a unique superpower; and In Red Hood: Outlaws (Summer), written by Patrick R. Young with art by Nico Nico Bascuñán, the Outlaws attempt to replace the Justice League, and fail. And in Zatanna & the Ripper (Summer) by Sarah Dealy and Syro, powerful magic sweeps Zatanna into the 1800s, where she must use her magic to solve the Jack the Ripper murders (with help from  John Constantine) in order to return to her time.
