Soft Skull Press Partners with Kimbilio

Soft Skull Press and Kimbilio, an organization of Black fiction writers, have announced a three-year publishing partnership wherein Soft Skull Press will acquire up to two books a year from Kimbilio fellows and faculty members.

The first book selected for this partnership will be published in late 2023, with Kimbilio and Soft Skull Press collaborating to promote the writers and their manuscripts. Selected manuscripts will receive a $10,000 prize as part of their publishing contract. Manuscript selections will be made by Mensah Demary, Soft Skull’s editor-in-chief. This partnership was negotiated by Kima Jones at Triangle House Literary.
