James Meader Promoted to V-p and Associate Publisher of Vintage Backlist

James Meader has been promoted to v-p and associate publisher of the Vintage backlist. He reports to Vintage Anchor executive v-p and publisher Suzanne Herz. In this new role, Meader will work with the estates of such authors as James Baldwin, John Cheever and Truman Capote, and will continue working on Vintage Classics, Everyman's Library, and Vintage Shorts.

Previously, Meader was executive director of publicity for Vintage Anchor; he joined the publisher in December 2019 after 17 years at Picador. 

Additionally, Diana Secker Tesdell has been promoted to senior editor, and director of publicity Angie Venezia will now assume leadership of the Vintage Anchor publicity department, newly reporting to Todd Doughty.
