Avid Reader Press to Host Publishing Panel

On July 27, the Avid Reader Press Diversity Committee will host the virtual event "What's Next?: Career Advice from Three Publishing Professionals Who've Been There." The one-hour Zoom is an informal Q&A space for those interested in breaking into publishing, those who are just starting out, and those who have a year or two under their belt and are wondering what their trajectory in the industry could look like. The panel will be moderated by Avid Press assistant editor Amy Guay and will feature panelists Alia Almeida, telesales representative at HarperCollins; Shida Carr, deputy director of publicity at Atria; and Jenny Xu, editor at Harper Books and Ecco.
