Stanford University Press Launches Trade Imprint

Stanford University Press announced plans to launch Redwood Press, a trade imprint specializing in serious works of fiction and nonfiction for a nonacademic audience. Redwood Press will debut with two titles in Spring 2015 and plans to release four to six titles annually.

The initial titles include The Woman Who Read Too Much, a novel by Bahiyyih Nakhjavani, and The Shared Society by former Peruvian president Alejandro Toledo, an examination of Latin American economic development.  Stanford University Press Director Alan Harvey, said the new imprint represents “true public scholarship” that would further the SUP’s mission by “reaching beyond the academy to a much wider readership.”
