J.D. Wilson Joins U of Alabama Press as Director

J.D. Wilson, who has served as sales and marketing director at Northwestern University Press for the past seven years, has been named director at the University of Alabama Press, effective January 2023. He will report to Donald Gilstrap, dean of The University of Alabama libraries. The position is a homecoming for Wilson, who, before he moved to Chicago to work for NUP, served as UAP’s sales and marketing director. Wilson also attended college at the University of Alabama.

“I was very proud to work at UAP before,” Wilson said, “and it will be a very rich experience to do what I love, with old friends, at my alma mater, and in my home state.”
