Sourcebooks Expands Data Team, Names Jess Johns Director of Analytics

Sourcebooks is expanding its data team.

Jess Johns has joined Sourcebooks in the newly created role of director of analytics. Johns was previously manager of consumer insights at Ingram and one of the cofounders of the analytics start-up OptiQly, which was acquired by Ingram in 2017. 

Additionally, Drew French will join the company in the newly created role of senior data scientist, effective  December 6. French was most recently data scientist II on Readerlink’s advanced analytics team.

“Data is at the center of our business," said Sourcebooks publisher and CEO Dominique Raccah. “An even stronger data team will only help us continue to grow the business of our authors and of our retail partners.”
