Amanda Close to Lead Children's Sales at PRH
Amanda Close has been promoted to senior v-p of children’s sales and strategic development at Penguin Random House, in addition to her current oversight of the Penguin Random House Special Markets group. Effective January 1, Close will lead sales efforts for Penguin Young Readers, Random House Children’s Books, and the Penguin Random House Publisher Services children’s imprints.
She replaces Felicia Frazier, who announced in October that she is leaving the company at the end of this month.
Close joined Random House in 2001, and has held several leadership positions in sales, operations, digital development, and corporate marketing.
Sarah Williams is promoted to v-p of special markets and strategic market development, effective immediately. Williams will lead the entire PRH special markets team, and will report to Close.
