Alyson Forbes Officially Named Publisher of Catapult

Alyson Forbes, formerly COO of Catapult, Counterpoint, and Soft Skull Press, has officially been named publisher of the Catapult book group. Forbes had been serving as interim publisher of the group for nearly a year, following the departure of cofounder and former publisher Andy Hunter.

Forbes is a veteran of Penguin Random House, where she held a number of roles at Penguin, Putnam, Riverhead, Viking, and, later, served as deputy director of creative services at Random House. Immediately prior to joining Catapult, she was v-p and executive director of marketing strategy at the Hachette Book Group.
