Executive Director of Eric Carle Museum to Step Down

Alexandra Kennedy, executive director of the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, Mass., will step down from her post later in 2023. Kennedy came to the Carle in 2008 from Disney Publishing Worldwide, where she was a v-p and editorial director in charge of U.S. magazines. She is only the second executive director in the Museum’s 20-year history, succeeding founding director H. Nichols B. Clark, who continues to be an active committee member, guest curator, and donor at the Museum. A search has begun for a replacement.
