'Spare' Hits 3.2 Million Copies in First-Week Global Sales

Prince Harry's memoir Spare has sold more than 3.2 million units globally across print, digital, and audio formats in its first week on sale, according to Penguin Random House

In the U.S., Random House registered first week sales of 1.6 million units across all formats. In the U.K., Transworld reports sales of 800,000 units while Penguin Random Canada recorded sales of 215,000 units. And in Australia, Spare smashed first week sales records with 64,000 copies sold. 

The book, published globally on January 10, was an instant # 1 bestseller the U.S., Canada, U.K.,  Australia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Germany, France, Holland, Italy, and Peru.
