Amazon Literary Partnership Opens 2023 Grant Applications
The Amazon Literary Partnership is accepting requests for 2023 grants, benefitting nonprofit organizations whose core mission is to support diverse, underserved, and marginalized writers, develop emerging writers, and/or build the careers of working writers to connect them with readers. Applications are open now through April 14, and can be submitted here. Grant recipients will be announced in June.
The grant program has been in place since 2009, and has provided more than $15 million to a number of organizations supporting authors. Prior grantees include the Academy of American Poets—with which ALP will once again collaborate on a poetry fund—the Asian American Writers' Workshop, the Brooklyn Book Festival, Lambda Literary, MacDowell, the National Book Foundation, the Center for Fiction, Words Without Borders, and numerous independent presses.
