DC's Vertigo Imprint Joins Wattpad

DC Entertainment is the first comic book publisher to partner with Wattpad, the online reading and writing community, announcing plans to launch a section on Wattpad devoted to its Vertigo comics imprint.

DC’s Vertigo imprint, which publishes a variety of non-superhero genre comics and graphic novels, will set up a section on Wattpad with a exclusive content including previews, excerpts and artwork. The Vertigo site will be updated on a regular basis.

Vertigo creators Lauren Beukes and Dale Halvorsen are live on the site now while Gail Simone and Holly Black are expected to join in the fall. Vertigo creators will have their own profiles on Wattpad where they will share content and interact directly with the fans online. DC is the latest publisher to set up on Wattpad, a global community that attracts more than 40 million visitors each month. Wattpad is designed for mobile readers (more than 90% of its members access the site via mobile devices) and its members skew towards being young and female.
