Hopkins UP Staff Recognized for Paid Publishing Internship Program

John Hopkins University Press staff members Diem Bloom and Davida Breier received a 2023 Diversity Recognition Award from the Johns Hopkins University’s Diversity Leadership Council for creating a paid publishing internship aimed at fostering diversity. 

In 2021, Bloom, director of publishing operations, and Breier, co-director of marketing and sales and director of Hopkins Fulfillment Services, developed a new, paid publishing internship program as part of the Press’s ongoing diversity, equity, inclusion, and access initiative. 

The program was repeated during the 2022–2023 academic year and will continue in 2023–2024.
