Karen Torres to Retire from HBG

Karen Torres, v-p of field sales and account marketing at Hachette Book Group, will retire on July 14 as part of the company's Voluntary Resignation Benefits Program.

Torres began her HBG career in 1987 as a marketing assistant and later served as a marketing manager, marketing director, and finally v-p of account marketing. In 2013, she added the responsibility for managing HBG's field sales team. Until recently, Torres also oversaw the library and academic marketing teams for HBG. In addition, Torres served on the boards of NEIBA and NAIBA, and she worked with BINC during its original launch.
