Academy of American Poets Announces 2023 Poet Laureate Fellows
The Academy of American Poets will award $50,000 to each of its 2023 Poet Laureate Fellows for a combined total of $1.1 million. Fellows currently serve as poets laureate of states, counties, and cities across the U.S. and will lead public poetry programs in their respective communities in the coming year.
The Poet Laureate Fellowship is made possible by the Mellon Foundation, which awarded the Academy of American Poets two grants to fund the program.
