Grove Atlantic, Electric Lit Team to Launch the Literary Hub
Grove Atlantic publisher Morgan Entrekin and digital publisher Electric Literature are teaming up to launch The Literary Hub, an online focal point for literary news, discussion and culture, that will debut on April 8.
While the Literary Hub is reminiscent of book sites like The Millions, Rumpus, Granta, The Awl, McSweeney’s or more recently the Oyster Review, the Literary Hub will feature support and content from more than 60 publisher-partners (including magazines and some retailers). Literary Hub partners include such traditional publishers as Knopf, Scribner and Bloomsbury as well as small publishers such as n + 1, O/R Books, Fence and Akashic.
The site will offer original content. The editor in chief of the Literary Hub is Johnny Diamond; executive editor is John Freeman and the site will have correspondents around the country. “We need a go-to site for literary culture. Our goal is to be as inclusive as possible—that’s the only way it will work” said Entrekin.
