Holt to Publish Hilary Mantel's Final Book

Henry Holt will publish the final book from Hilary Mantel, A Memoir of My Former Self: A Life in Writing on October 24.

Mantel, who died in September 2022, was the two-time Booker Prize-winning author of the Wolf Hall trilogy. A Memoir of My Former Self will feature essays and other nonfiction pieces from the 1980s through the end of her life. 

Holt acquired North American rights for A Memoir of My Former Self from Bill Hamilton of A.M. Heath Agency. The book will be published by John Murray Publishers in the U.K. on October 19.
