NCAC Launches Kids' Right to Read Network
The National Coalition Against Censorship has launched the Kids' Right to Read Network (KKRN), a network of local groups fighting for young people's freedom to read.
“The goal of KRRN is to bring together the local groups that are fighting in school and library districts across the country,” said NCAC executive director Christopher Finan said in a statement. “We are also urging everyone who cares about the freedom to read to start a Kids’ Right to Read group in their community.”
KKRN will host monthly meetings for groups to share information and resources. The network currently comprises groups in Florida, Texas, Iowa, Missouri, New Jersey, Louisiana, and South Carolina.
