Dark Horse Adds Periodical Comics to Comixology, Kindle Store
Dark Horse Comics has reached an agreement with Comixology to add more than 2000 periodical comics to the digital comics marketplace and to the Amazon Kindle Store.
The agreement comes after Dark Horse, which has its own digital comics store and had delayed offering its comics via Comixology, began selling more than 800 of its graphic novels on Comixology in June. Dark Horse, one of the largest independent comics publishers in the country, had withheld its periodical comics from Comixology and was selling them exclusively via Dark Horse Digital.
Dark Horse now sells its entire catalog of graphic novels, manga and periodical comics via the Comixology and Amazon Kindle platforms. Dark Horse comics available via Comixology will now include such series as Fight Club 2, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tomb Raider, The Goon, Mike Mignola’s Hellboy and many more.
“We launched our graphic novel catalog through Comixology last June and the sales have been incredible,” Dark Horse President Mike Richardson said. “Now readers will have full access to our monthly comics for the first time ever and Comixology will never be out of stock on your favorite Dark Horse titles.”
