Top Brass Promotions at Random House Worlds
Random House Worlds, an imprint of the Random House Group dedicated to licensed book publishing for pop culture brands, has announced several promotions among leadership.
Scott Shannon has been named president of Random House Worlds. Shannon previously served as executive v-p and publisher of the imprint. In his new role, he will continue to report to Random House Publishing Group president Sanyu Dillon. Prior to joining Random House as v-p and deputy publisher of Del Rey in 2006, Shannon held various roles at Simon & Schuster, including v-p and associate publisher of S&S's Pocket Books.
Keith Clayton has been promoted to v-p and publisher of Random House Worlds and Inklore, a pop comics imprint slated to launch in spring 2024. He will also step into the role of copublisher of Del Rey. Clayton was previously v-p and deputy publisher of Del Rey and publishing director of Random House Worlds. He has been with Random House for more than 20 years.
Tricia Narwani has been promoted to v-p, copublisher, and editor-in-chief of Del Rey. She was previously editorial director of Del Rey, a role in which she oversaw the expansion of the imprint's trade paperback original program and edited such authors as Pierce Brown and Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Narwani joined the Random House group as an assistant for the Del Rey manga team in the early 2000s.
Random House Worlds publishes licensed books from such brands as Dungeons & Dragons, Minecraft, Star Wars, Marvel Studios, and World of Warcraft.
