Kepler’s Books Launches GiftLit Service
Kepler’s announced its new GiftLit subscription service that makes it easy for customers to gift books from curated collections for all ages and types of readers. Recipients will receive one book per month through a three, six, or twelve-month subscription, and each book is gift-wrapped and accompanied by a personal note from the giver.
GiftLit, which was founded in 2006 by Deirdre Hockett and Susheela Vasan, recently became a subsidiary of Kepler’s, adding an already-successful service with strong online ordering and national fulfillment to the store’s traditional retail presence.
As Kepler’s integrates the GiftLit service and new technology features into its operation, the bookstore plans to share any progress and lessons learned with other independent bookstores, book clubs, and literacy non-profits in an effort to reinvent the bookstore industry.
