Chronicle Books Realigns Publishing Groups
San Francisco’s Chronicle Books shared a March 12 statement announcing “a realignment of their publishing groups with the goal of developing and amplifying new initiatives for future growth and expansion.”
Christina Amini, who has served since 2019 as Chronicle’s executive publishing director of books and gift publishing across the categories of art, food, lifestyle, and entertainment, has been named publisher of gift. According to the statement, Amini “will be responsible for Chronicle’s gift and formats future strategy and development.” She also will work in partnership with Chronicle’s games and toys division and with Chronicle subsidiary Galison/Mudpuppy.
Lynn Grady will oversee Chronicle’s entertainment publishing group. This represents an expansion of Grady’s role as publisher of Princeton Architectural Press, pop-culture and visual arts imprint Chronicle Chroma, and nonfiction imprint Chronicle Prism, a position she has held since April 2022. Chronicle Prism “will be integrated into the company’s core publishing unit.”
