LibraryPass to Add Picture Books to Its Comics Plus Platform
LibraryPass will expand its Comics Plus platform to include picture books. The platform is currently available through more than 3,000 schools and libraries. The initial collection features hundreds of titles from existing publisher partners, including ABDO and Cherry Lake, LibraryPass said in a release, with more partners to be announced later this year.
"Comics and manga readers of all ages already enjoy a diverse selection of titles in Comics Plus,” said Guy LeCharles Gonzalez, chief content officer at LibraryPass, in a statement. "Emerging readers can also benefit from the immersive combination of text and pictures, but might not be ready for comics, so picture books are a natural fit in our growing collection. We’re honored to partner with publishers who understand the value of reaching readers in multiple formats while offering libraries affordable licensing options to access their digital content."
