Mo Crist to Join Bloomsbury as Editor
Mo Crist will join Bloomsbury as an editor, effective May 7. They will report to Callie Garnett, editorial director of adult trade.
Crist comes from W.W. Norton, where they were recently promoted to associate editor. They joined Norton in 2019 and have served as an acquiring editor at Norton since 2020, working on both fiction and nonfiction with a focus on queer, trans, and marginalized writers. Their acquisitions include Eliot Duncan's National Book Award–longlisted novel Pony Boy and Joseph Osmundson's essay collection Virology, a finalist for the NBCC Award.
Prior to that, they served as an editorial assistant at Norton and an editorial intern at FSG. They were also a member of Norton’s inaugural DIA Committee, where they spearheaded the Inclusive Language Guide task-force to create a user-friendly, open-source document outlining inclusive practices in the publishing industry.
