StreetLib and IBPA Collaborate to Provide Digital Tools to Indie Publishers
Digital-first distributor StreetLib, based in Italy, is partnering with the Independent Book Publishers Association, helping indie publishers distribute e-books and audiobooks globally.
“One of the most difficult challenges for independent publishers is access to the market, especially the global market,” IBPA director of membership and member services Christopher Locke said. “IBPA is always looking for ways to empower and encourage independent publishers to diversify their distribution channels, so we’re excited to partner with StreetLib, a powerful platform that not only makes the market more accessible, but has state-of-the-art technology to strengthen publishers’ chances at success.”
StreetLib’s tools can facilitate the distribution of digital content to more than 39.000 retailers and libraries worldwide. The platform is the “top e-book distributor in Italy” and supports “current and emerging digital publishing models, such as subscriptions, pay-per-time, pay-per-page, single copy sales, bulk sales, direct to consumer, and product bundling,” according to its website.
“This collaboration aims to bolster the reach and efficiency of independent book publishers and authors by providing them with cutting-edge tools and significant discounts on StreetLib's services,” StreetLib head of U.S. publishing Julie Trelstad wrote on the company’s blog.
IBPA members receive a 50% discount on pro membership subscriptions to the publishing platform, as well as on StreetLib’s Concierge Setup Service, which offers guidance through the account setup process and consultations on publishing strategy.
