Emily Cunningham to Join Knopf as Executive Editor

Emily Cunningham will join Knopf as executive editor, effective June 3. She will work on Knopf's nonfiction list. 

Cunningham comes to Knopf from Penguin Press, where she is a senior editor. She joined Penguin Press in 2015, and her roster of books include Lauren Fleshman's Good for a Girl, Gayle Tzemach Lemmon's The Daughters of Kobani, Andrew Leland's The Country of the Blind, and Tahir Hamut Izgil’s National Book Critics Circle Award-winning Waiting to Be Arrested at Night. Prior to that, she held editorial roles at Grove Atlantic and Harper.
