PRH Children's Sales Head Amanda Close to Step Down in June

Amanda Close, senior v-p of children’s sales and strategic market development at Penguin Random House, will leave the company at the end of June. A search for a successor "will begin immediately," the publisher said.

Close, who succeeded Felicia Frazier in assuming her most recent position in 2022, joined Random House in 2001, and has held several leadership positions in sales, operations, digital development, and corporate marketing. During her time at PRH, her contributions included "initiating the company's first direct-to-consumer initiative (which then grew into our current corporate marketing team), founding and nurturing the first cross-divisional marketing task force..., negotiating early e-book partnerships," and more, the publisher said in a release.
