NYSCA to Offer Grants to New York–Based Writers, Translators

The New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) will award grants of $10,000 to New York–based artists, including poets, fiction writers, nonfiction writers, and translators, for commission of new work in 2025.

Applicants must apply through a sponsoring organization. The application portal will open on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, and close on Wednesday, July 17, at 4PM ET. 

NYSCA invites interested applicants to register for a webinar on Wednesday, May 22, at 11AM ET. 

Registration is required for the webinar and questions may be submitted in advance. Applicants are encouraged to review the Opportunity Guidelines before the webinar commences and may also consult the NYSCA Support for Artists Guidelines with Application Manual. All webinars will be recorded and posted on the FY2024 Webinars page.
