Robin Warner Retires from Oaklins DeSilva + Phillips

Veteran dealmaker Robin Warner has retired from the investment banking firm Oaklins DeSilva + Phillips, where she specialized in mergers and acquisitions in book publishing and other media fields. Among the more prominent recent book publisher sales Warner helped broker are Workman Publishing to Hachette Book Group, Cider Mill Press to HarperCollins, and Hay House to Penguin Random House, her last sale, which was completed in late 2023.

Warner was assisted in the Hay House deal by Oaklins partner Joanna Stone Herman. Herman and managing director Paul Slavin, whose background includes serving as president of Open Road Integrated Media, are replacing Warner as Oaklins’ M&A book experts, and are currently working on four transactions.
