Archaia To Publish U.S. Edition of ‘Mezolith’ Graphic Novel

Archaia, an imprint of independent comics publisher Boom! Studios announced plans to publish a U.S. edition of ‘Mezolith,’ an acclaimed British graphic novel by Ben Haggarty and artist Adam Brockbank, in February 2016.

The two-volume graphic novel is set on the eastern shores of Stone Age Britain 10,000 years ago during a time when danger was everywhere. Poika, a young boy and member of the Kansa tribe, faces those dangers during hunting season and from neighboring tribes. On the verge of manhood, Poika must trust the wisdom of his elders and endure life’s rights of passage as he struggles to earn status in the tribe.

Ben Haggarty is honorary professor of storytelling at the Arts University of Berlin. Bockbank is a storyboard and concept artist who has worked on the Captain America: The First Avenger, Spider-Man, and the Harry Potter films.
