Asaf Bar-Tura Named CEO of Literacy Partners

Asaf Bar-Tura has been appointed CEO of Literacy Partners, effective July 22. Bar-Tura succeeds Anthony Tassi, who left the organization in June. 

Bar-Tura brings over 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership to the role, having most recently served as executive director at the San Francisco–based education nonprofit SMART. He has also held several leadership positions with organizations including The Posse Foundation, the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, and the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center.

Literacy Partners held its 50th Anniversary Gala on June 10.
