The 'Beat' to Provide Daily SDCC Coverage via New Streaming Show

The Beat, the website of comics journalism founded and run by PW contributing editor Heidi MacDonald, will cover this year’s San Diego Comic-Con via a new streaming series, Con Daily, coproduced with and hosted by Electric Entertainment’s streaming app ElectricNow.

The show, per a release, will “give viewers access to top talent attending the iconic San Diego Comic-Con and a run-down of the show’s activities,” and consist of “four special episodes to premiere after each day of Comic-Con, hosted by high-profile online personalities.”

The show will be produced by Lucas Thompson of ElectricNOW and directed by comics documentarian Patrick Meaney. Hosts include Kari Laine, Celia Schilling, Yael Tygiel, and Reagan Yorke.
