Hailey Dezort, Tom Flynn Launch Paratext Publicity
Hailey Dezort and Tom Flynn have launched Paratext Publicity, a boutique literary PR and marketing firm for authors, publishers, and storytellers. Dezort and Flynn are both based in Chicago.
Dezort was previously a marketing manager at Kaye Publicity, where she spearheaded marketing for Rebecca Yarros's Fourth Wing, as well as authors Gregg Hurwitz and Daniel Kraus and publisher Head of Zeus.
Flynn previously worked in publicity and bookseller outreach at independent publisher And Other Stories. Prior to that, he was the manager of 57th Street Books and, later, Volumes BookCafe in Chicago. He was also an events coordinator for Seminary Co-Op Bookstores and Asymptote Journal.
