Barrs Moves to LB, Kulick Promoted to Executive AD
Michael Barrs has been appointed VP and associate publisher at Little, Brown and Company, effective August 5, and Gregg Kulick has been promoted to executive art director for the division.
Barrs previously spent seven years at Hachette Books, where he was most recently VP and associate publisher. At Hachette, he led operational functions for the imprint and directed the marketing team. Last week, Hachette Book Group announced a reorg that resulted in many company-wide changes, including dissolving the Hachette Books imprint.
Prior to joining HBG, he held senior marketing positions at HarperCollins at several imprints, including William Morrow, It Books, and Dey Street.
Kulick joined LB as senior art director eight years ago, and has designed and art directed covers for such titles as Ronan Farrow's Catch and Kill, Madeline Miller's Circe, and Jenny Slate's Little Weirds, along with titles by such authors as James Patterson, Malcolm Gladwell, Walter Mosley, S.A. Cosby, Daniel Silva, and others.
Previously, Kulick held art director roles as HarperCollins, Quirk Books, and Penguin Publishing Group.
