Comics Vet Scott Dunbier to Launch New Publisher, Act 4
Scott Dunbier, the former VP of special projects at IDW and editor-in-chief of Wildstorm, will launch his own publishing company, Act 4, at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. The name refers to the endeavor being the fourth act of Dunbier's storied career—which has included stints as an art dealer, at Wildstorm, and at IDW—and its logo will be designed by the legendary Chip Kidd.
"The goal of Act 4 will be to create books—comics, graphic novels, collections, Artist's Editions—that are bound together by the quality of their content," said Dunbier in a statement. "Making this move is exciting, and a bit scary, but I love the books that I do, and it's time to bet on myself."
Details will be announced this Friday during a panel hosted by Dunbier at 1:30pm in Room 10.
