Brooklyn Book Festival Announces Lineup, BoBi Award Winner Roz Chast
The Brooklyn Book Festival has announced the author lineup for its 2024 edition, slated for September 22-30.
The lineup of authors participating in Festival Day, held September 29 in Downtown Brooklyn, includes Olivie Blake, Karla Cornejo Villavicencio, Vanessa Chan, Roz Chast, Edwidge Danticat, Akwaeke Emezi, Álvaro Enrigue, Terrance Hayes, Lisa Ko, Amitava Kumar, Hari Kunzru, R.O. Kwon, Kelly Link, Lorrie Moore, Samhita Mukhopadhyay, Emily Nussbaum, Julie Otsuka, Tracy O'Neill, Maurice Carlos Ruffin, Lucy Sante, Nicole Sealey, Astra Taylor, Justin Taylor, Héctor Tobar, Laura van den Berg, and Jenny Xie, among others.
Featured Festival Day YA authors include Alexene Farol Follmuth, Camille Gomera-Tavarez, Chloe Gong, Jas Hammonds, Jordan Ifueko, Jonell Joshua, Claire Legrand, Ali Novak, Dustin Thao, and Andrew Joseph White, among others.
Authors at BBF's Children’s Day, held September 28 at Brooklyn Commons, include Tracey Baptiste, Hilda Eunice Burgos, Lian Cho, Ruth Chan, C.G. Esperanza, Raj Haldar, Bess Kalb, Mike Lowery, Cat Min, George O’Connor, Aimée Sicuro, R.L. Stine, Sarvenaz Tash, Gabriel Valentin, Booki Vivat, and Deeba Zargarpur, among others.
Authors participating in BBF's Virtual Festival Day on September 22 include Kevin Barry, Chelsea Bieker, Christina Cooke, Lexi Freiman, Marcela Fuentes, Bhanu Kapil, Attica Locke, Sean Michaels, Julia Phillips, and Kiley Reid, among others.
Additionally, cartoonist Roz Chast has been named as recipient of the 2024 Best of Brooklyn (BoBi) Award, to be presented at the annual award ceremony in September, and this year’s poster is designed by digital artist and illustrator Bria Benjamin.
