Bridget Lafferty Promoted to AAP Chief of Staff
Bridget Lafferty has been promoted to chief of staff at the Association of American Publishers. Lafferty has served as special assistant to CEO Maria Pallante since 2022.
Prior to joining AAP, she was deputy chief of staff for the Democratic appropriations committee in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for four years. Before that, she was executive director of the Democratic state government committee in Pennsylvania, overseeing more than 300 bills for the chairman and committee members during the legislative session.
In her new role, Lafferty will work closely with Pallante and the AAP senior team to determine enterprise and project strategies and to keep policy priorities, communications, and budget objectives on track, the AAP said in a release. She will continue to support Pallante's day-to-day agenda, but will play a greater role in overseeing internal workstreams and will supervise a new staff assistant position.
