Another Big Sales Week for 'Hillbilly Elegy'

Senator J.D. Vance's 2016 bestseller Hillbilly Elegy sold another 220,000 trade paperback copies in the week ended July 27 through outlets that report to Circana BookScan. It marks the second significant sales bump for the book since Vance was picked by former president Donald Trump as his vice-presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. BookScan reported sales of 197,000 for the book during the week prior, with HarperCollins, which publishes Hillbilly Elegy under its Harper imprint, estimating that it sold more than 650,000 copies in all formats during that same week.
