Mobius to Publish Michael Caine's 'Guide to Life'
Mobius, the U.S.-based publisher of U.K.-based titles distributed by Hachette Book Group, will publish Michael Caine’s Don't Look Back, You'll Trip Over: My Guide to Life on March 25, 2025 in the U.S. and Canada. The book is a collaboration between Caine and journalist and author Matt d'Ancona.
The U.K.-based Hodder & Stoughton acquired world English rights, including audio, ebook, and serial, from Caroline Michel at PFD.
Caine's 2018 memoir, Blowing the Bloody Doors Off, sold 270,000 copies across all editions, according to the publisher. Caine also published his debut novel, Deadly Game, in fall 2023, selling 60,000 copies across editions. Both books were published by Mobius.
"Over a long life, I've learnt a lot and had the opportunity to reflect," said Caine, in a statement. "I've seen a new generation grow up, among them my own grandchildren, facing the world with all its challenges and problems. I hope they'll find Don't Look Back, You'll Trip Over: My Guide to Life helps them to be optimistic—and shows that anyone can blow the bloody doors off."
