Kit Frick Returns to Black Lawrence Press

Kit Frick will rejoin Black Lawrence Press as managing editor. She departed the press in 2022 to work full-time as a novelist.

Frick initially joined Black Lawrence in 2009 and was previously a senior editor, editing the press's nationally distributed chapbook series for more than a decade. She is also the author of multiple books, including the B&N YA Book Club pick I Killed Zoe Spanos, Very Bad People, and A Small Rising Up in the Lungs

“We are so excited to have Kit back on the Black Lawrence Press team! Kit’s experience on both sides of the publishing desk makes her the ideal person to serve as our very first Managing Editor," said Black Lawrence executive editor Diane Goettel in a statement. “Kit’s contributions will be key to our goals of expanding our publishing business as we enter our 21st year in the industry.”
