Blackstone to Copublish, Market Everand Original Titles
Blackstone will copublish titles in collaboration with Everand, overseeing manufacturing and distribution across all formats and markets. Everand, which is primarily a subscription platform offering ebooks and audiobooks from publishing partners, also publishes it own proprietary list of mostly-short form books. In 2019, Everand began publishing original short stories and essays under its Everand Originals (formerly Scribd Originals) imprint. Since then, the platform has released more than 40 e-books by notable authors, ranging from fiction by Margaret Atwood and Stephen King to nonfiction by Lauren Groff and Chuck Palahniuk. The first copublished title was Three Kings: Race, Class, and the Barrier-Breaking Rivals Who Redefined Sports and Launched the Modern Olympic Age by Todd Balf. It was released on July 2.
