Hay Festival Forum Dallas Expands

The Hay Festival Forum Dallas is significantly expanding its footprint for its upcoming seventh edition, scheduled for October 11-13. First launched in 2018, the event has largely remained a single-day program at the Wild Detectives bookstores. This year it is expanding to include events at nearby Whose Books, as well as feature events at the Texas Theatre and the Oak Cliff Assembly. This expansion allows the festival to accommodate a larger audience and diversify its programming.

The 2024 festival feature more than 25 artists in a bilingual format, focusing on bridging the North/South border through a mix of Latin American and U.S. authors; the full festival line-up won’t be announced until September 3. Previous guests such as Alma Guillermoprieto, Jon Lee Anderson, Hernan Diaz, and Michelle Tea. “We are excited to be broadening our Hay Festival Forum in Dallas, enhancing bilingual engagement across continents and celebrating the best of literature and ideas in cultural spaces all over this beautiful city,” Cristina Fuentes La Roche, Hay Festival International Director, said.

Hay Festival Forum Dallas remains the the international charity's only event in the United States.
