Inaugural LKBF Latinx Storytellers Conference Slated for September 2024
The Latinx Kidlit Book Festival, which launched in 2020 and will host its fifth annual virtual event September 20–27, is debuting a new, in-person event this September for authors and illustrators of books for all ages. The inaugural Latinx Storytellers Conference, billed as "an annual, in-person gathering of Latinx children and adult book writers and illustrators," will be held this September 13–14 at Scholastic headquarters in New York City. The two-day event will feature masterclasses and professional development sessions, as well as provide attendees with "access to hard-to-reach industry professionals such as publishers, editors, and literary agents," per the event website. All conference proceeds will benefit the Latinx KidLit Book Festival’s programs. Click here for more information.
