Tyndale Acquires Gospel Light's Bible Handbook Line
Tyndale House has purchased the publication rights and existing inventory to the Bible handbook entitled What the Bible Is All About, by Dr. Henrietta Mears. The acquisition took place through the Gospel Light bankruptcy auction on October 27, according to Tyndale president/CEO Mark Taylor.
Under the new ownership, Tyndale also owns ancillary books related to What the Bible Is All About, the main title in the product line which was first published in 1953. Despite the lasting success of the title, What the Bible Is All About has been out of stock at Gospel Light for several months, and Tyndale is eager to resupply bookstores with it.
"We believe bookstores and distributors across the country will be pleased to hear that this mainstay in their Bible reference departments will once again be available for their customers," said Taylor.
Additional details on the transition from Gospel Light to Tyndale are not yet available. News of Tyndale's acquisition arrived just as David C. Cook announced the purchase of the Gospel Light curriculum resources.
