Book Manufacturers Institute to Hold 2024 Conference in Boston
The Book Manufacturers’ Institute will host the fourth edition of Book Manufacturing Mastered on October 1 at the Hyatt Regency Boston/Cambridge in Massachusetts. The conference will feature panelists from both the publishing and printing industry segments, who will examine significant changes and ongoing challenges in the book business.
The opening session will feature an industry overview from printing industry expert Marco Boer and Jim Milliot, editor-at-large and former editorial director at Publishers Weekly. Printer panelists include John Galligan of Bradford & Bigelow, Andrew Van Sprang of Maple Press, and Kent Larson of Bridgeport National Bindery. Publisher panelists include Tim Jones of Harvard University Press, Karen Pavlicin of Elva Resa, and Sherin Pierce of Yankee Publishing. A look at supply chain issue will be examined in sessions with Bill Rojack of Midland Paper and Robert Sockin of Citi.
