2024 Giller Prize Longlist Announced
The longlist for the 2024 Giller Prize for Canadian fiction has been announced. The Giller Prize shortlist will be announced on October 9, and the winner will be announced during a broadcast on November 18.
This year's longlist, chosen from more than 100 submissions by Canadian publishers, includes nine novels and three short story collections. The longlist is as follows:

- Death by a Thousand Cuts by Shashi Bhat
- What I Know About You by Éric Chacour (translated by Pablo Strauss)
- Bad Land by Corinna Chong
- Curiosities by Anne Fleming
- Prairie Edge by Conor Kerr
- This Strange Eventful History by Claire Messud
- Held by Anne Michaels
- The Cure for Drowning by Loghan Paylor
- Peacocks of Instagram by Deepa Rajagopalan
- In Winter I Get Up at Night by Jane Urquhart
